Postnatal Exercise & Exercise For Motherhood
Exercise for every stage of life - new mom to grandmom!
The staff at Bella Bellies is trained to understand and educate others on what postnatal exercise modifications are and why these modifications are necessary.
Did you know that crunches and sit-ups can actually worsen your tummy bulge? Did you know that exercise can help prevent the achy lower back, achy knees and tight neck and shoulders mothers so often experience? Did you know there are necessary modifications for exercise if you are nursing? How soon can one begin high impact exercise such as running after delivery? Find out all of the answer to these questions and more!
Following the postnatal fitness assessment, all sessions will include postnatal exercises to help strengthen your body, tighten your core and stretch tight muscles. We will also review how to properly lift weight (such as the baby, car seat, stroller).
Postnatal exercise deserves special treatment. We will inform you how your body's physical changes effect exercise.
Bella Bellies has handouts from: The American College of Obstetrician and Gynecology, International Child Birth Education Association, La Leche League and more! If interested BELLA BELLIES will put you in touch with other mothers and support groups, upcoming Hoboken family events as well as references to other professional services (Doctor's, Midwives, Labor and Delivery Doulas, Postnatal Doulas, Lactation Consultants, Child Birth Education Classes, reading materials, Nutritionists and more).
