What is Pilates?
Pilates focuses on breath, centering, control, concentration, and rhythm. With these principles in mind the result is a flowing movement series which improves one's efficiency of movement, coordination, strength, range of motion, posture, conscious appreciation of where they are in space and more!
Our Pilates program MOVES and incorporates deep breathing exercises. Often times there is so much focus on form Pilates can feel very bound and held with an emphasis on shallow breathing. The antithesis of our Pilates program is movement in which the breath is held and the muscles are gripped and overused.
How will Pilates be incorporated into my session?
Pilates is an option which will be incorporated into your session depending on your own personal interest and goals.
Can I still partake in Pilates Lessons during Pregnancy?
Yes and No. Pilates enthusiasts are defined by a long, lean and toned appearance, particularly in the abdominal region. HOWEVER for mommies (pre and post), it is imperative Pilates be modified. Most traditional Pilates exercises must be modified.
What type of Pilates equipment does Bella Bellies have?
