Nutritional and Fitness Assessment Using the Body Gem®
Fitness Assessment
Fitness Assessment Our mission is to help others restore and maintain movement and agility. We test clients cardiovascular strength, muscular strength, and flexibility using a variety of methods.
During an initial assessment, we will conduct body composition tests, determine heart rate values for exercise and take body measurements. Also, included in this assessment we determine the clients range of motion, muscle force, balance/coordination, posture, diastases, abdominal strength and more.
Our intention is planning and prioritizing goals, identifying when goals have been met, education (providing answers to questions, explaining the physiology of exercise and providing handouts) and more.
Body Gem (Metabolic Testing)
Everyone's metabolism is different. Women's metabolisms change after the age of 35, during pregnancy, while lactating, postpartum, pre-menopausal, menopausal and post menopausal. Why is this important? Your metabolism determines how much you need to eat and exercise to reach your goals. You can customize any plan to be more effective when it is based on your results from the Body Gem analysis.
Many factors influence your metabolism making it unique to you. Weight, age, nutritional supplements, hormone levels, gender, body composition, Vo2 Max and more are examples of what the body gem takes into consideration during analysis. For example two women weigh exactly the same and are the same height, yet have different daily calorie requirements. If they followed the same fitness management plan they would experience very different results.
After determining your unique resting metabolic rate we run the results of the body gem test through software called BalanceLOG. This system puts together a nutritional program balancing carbohydrates, proteins and more so that the calories you consume are the best calories for your unique body.
